4th grade students studied Andy Warhol and the Pop Art Movement in preparation for creating their own food-themed Pop Art.  Students created collagraph prints.  These are prints that are made from gluing items such as cardboard, paper, string, aluminum foil, pop tabs, plastic bags, and other items in relief, onto a surface.  The surface is then coated with a clear, protective coating and allowed to dry.  Once the collagraph printing plate is dry, students brush paint onto the surface and make their prints.  The 4th grade students made a minimum of two prints, choosing their best ones to add texture and emphasis through the addition of color pencil.
