My Tuesday kindergarten students recently completed their shape creatures. Read on to see examples of these completed works.
We first read the book, Shape Zoo, by Lois Ehlert. This book is a fun way to discuss colors and shapes all at once. You may even be able to see some influences from this book in the students’ work.
This is an assignment that the kids enjoy. There’s something for everyone: choice of creature, cutting colored paper, and then choice of drawing with marker. The variety of outcomes always astounds me.
